Flash Memory Streamer 9000

XOR Media delivers an industry-leading flash memory-based streamer designed to drastically reduce the operational costs for on-demand service providers deploying Content Delivery Network (CDN) environments. With large capacity flash memory and higher density streaming and ingest, the XOR Flash Memory Streamer 9000 (FMS 9000) is designed to eliminate spinning hard disk drives from the edge of an operator’s CDN infrastructure. The FMS family of products is the first in the industry that completely decouples streaming from disk storage, enabling a new level of configuration flexibility, reliability, and scalability for operators moving to a centralized CDN architecture

The XOR FMS 9000 is a cache streaming server with high capacity flash storage and high density streaming and ingesting capability. It takes advantage of intelligent caching mechanism to store hot video content and stream the ingested video content file to target clients. As a single-node storage and playback device for caching streaming media, FMS 9000 can be used to constitute an easily scalable server cluster to store and play video content with high performance and high security. FMS can be integrated with CDN (Content Delivery Network) system seamlessly, significantly reducing video server operation cost for interactive operators.
Each FMS 9000 node can stream up to 32.95 Gbps of video playout using a 4 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet edge card.
